SCHOOL VISIT FAQ’S
Q. How do I book a school trip?
A. First you need to find out how many pupils wish to visit Adventure Island. You can then book your visit over the phone on 01702 443400, request an order form or make an online enquiry right here on the website.
Q. Can you invoice the school?
A. We can only invoice the school in advance. To qualify for our big group bookings discount, the booking needs to be made and paid for at least 10 days in advance.
Q. Are there any special concessions for teachers and adult helpers?
A. Unlike other fun parks, we do not charge individual admission. If a teacher wishes to join the children on the rides they will need a wristband. We will issue one free wristband for an adult with every 10 children booked for Secondary schools, and one free wristband with every 5 children for Primary Schools. Any extra wristbands bought on the day will be school group price.
Q. What are the minimum and maximum numbers of children we can bring?
A. 10 children is the minimum to qualify for the school groups . There is no maximum – the more, the merrier!
Q. Are there any meal options?
A. To avoid bringing hundreds of lunchboxes you can purchase, meal vouchers. These are £3.40 each for child meals or £5.25 for standard adult meals. Your students can use them at the Adventure Island Eatery, The “Hot Dog Bar” and the Jungle Jive Cafe (but on quieter days the Jungle Jive Cafe may be unavailable).
Q. After I have booked will you send me my wristbands?
A. If your booking is for more than 40 students, we will send you our “pre-band” wristbands around 2 weeks before the date of your visit so that you can prepare them prior to arrival and have them already fitted when you get here. If your booking is smaller than 40 students, we will send you a confirmation letter but we cannot send wristbands in the post. We will issue you vouchers which you can collect from Customer Services when you arrive on the day. You then exchange these vouchers for wristbands at the sales offices.
Q. Can I add to my group on the day of our visit?
A. Yes, just call in at Customer Services and we will issue you with extra vouchers at the same discount price you have paid.
Q. Can we bring our school group to Adventure Island at any time?
A. You are welcome to visit on any weekday that we are open during term time in June and July. See our calendar for opening times.
Q. Does the wristband allow me on all the rides?
A. The Big Adventure Band allows you on all 38 rides, but does not include pay-as-you-play attractions such as Dodgems, Formula AI Karting, Adventure Golf and arcades, etc. These are subject to an additional charge. Height restrictions apply to all attractions.
Q. What happens if we lose someone?
A. If you leave your number with Customer Services when you arrive, we can contact you if you if one of your group is lost.
