Health and safety at Adventure Island

At Adventure Island, your safety is our top priority. We want you to enjoy your day with complete peace of mind, so we work hard behind the scenes to ensure our park is safe, secure and well looked after.

Whether you’re riding our biggest rollercoasters, our City Wheel, the Jumping Jolly Rogers, or enjoying the sights and sounds of the park, we aim to keep everyone safe.

Below, you can find more information about our health and safety procedures. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

Ride maintenance

All our rides go through a rigorous daily inspection before the park opens to the public. This includes detailed safety checks carried out by our trained engineers and ride operators.

In addition to our daily checks, every ride at Adventure Island is regularly serviced and maintained in line with manufacturer guidelines and UK safety standards. We also carry out independent inspections and follow industry best practices to make sure everything is operating exactly as it should.

If a ride needs to be taken out of service for any reason, we’ll always let guests know as soon as possible.

Emergency planning

We have detailed emergency plans in place to ensure a swift and safe response to any situation. Our team is trained to manage evacuations, handle unexpected incidents and provide clear instructions to guests if needed.

We also carry out regular drills and reviews to make sure our procedures remain up-to-date and effective.

Should an emergency occur during your visit, please listen carefully to any announcements and follow the directions of our team. The park is fitted with clear signage, emergency exits, and public address systems to support safe movement if needed.

Security

To help everyone feel safe at Adventure Island, we always have a dedicated security team on site. Our staff are trained to handle a range of situations, and you’ll see them throughout the park, ready to assist if needed.

We may carry out random bag checks at the entrances, and CCTV is in operation across the park for your safety.

We work closely with local authorities and emergency services to stay alert to any potential threats.

If you see anything unusual or have any concerns during your visit, please speak to a member of the team straight away.

First aid and staff training

We have qualified first aiders stationed throughout Adventure Island, with fully equipped first aid rooms available. Many of our team members are also trained in fire safety, safeguarding, and guest assistance. All staff receive regular health and safety training to ensure they can support a safe, enjoyable visit for everyone.
