I started in July 2016 as ride host for West Overs as one of my first real jobs. One day Jake Lewis (now my Acting Assistant Manager) approached me asking what my plan is and have I thought of leader, after spending the day thinking about those words I decided from that day on I was going to become a Team Leader. I then spent the Spring League proving I was a top performer pushing myself to the limit with Jake Lewis by my side. Then June comes around where I then received the position of Acting Team Leader.

The past year has been an upward climb where I have reached good level of leading capacity, however I am ever looking to improve myself for the better of the team and the company.

Education achievements through the company include, First Aid, IOSH and Fire Marshall. To all my leaders and team mates you are the ones that make this job what it is – so thanks to you.

But that's not the end of Jack's journey - Swipe along for the next chapter...

I guess to start things off we have to start at the beginning of it all. I was 18 fresh out of college and looking for a part time job to keep me going till I decided what I would want to do with my life. That's when I fell upon the lovely Adventure Island and ended up landing myself as a Ride Host for West Overs, over the weeks my confidence grew massively and it was during the Autumn league that Jake Lewis approached me and asked if I have ever considered Team Leader. I then began to work harder than I ever had before because I now wanted to become a leader at Stockvale.

In early June of 2017, I officially became an Acting Team Leader. I learnt West B as my first zone and have pretty much spent my time there since then, I've learned a lot about being a leader which has seen me reach great heights, last year I was promoted to Acting Supervisor where I oversaw West B take the stage at Stars 2019 and myself win top leader position. It was a monumental achievement and one the best nights of my life.

Over the past year and a half, things haven’t been normal as we all know, but I haven’t stopped learning. I have fully embraced the Admin leader role where I have learnt more than ever before, I have also started a new adventure of the Sealife variety where I have begun learning the POR role which has been a journey of just constant learning.

All while still actively leading my team as well as working with my hosts to become leaders for the future generations of West B.

As always with these bios, there needs to be shoutouts! So massive thank you to all the leaders who have been by my side throughout it all including Hollie and Bobby for running the West together. Next up is Jake Redfearn, Elysia and Elllis for their continued support, help and driving me to become a better leader. Last but not least Jake Lewis who set me on this path so many years ago, you have stood by my side since and have been a mentor to me throughout.

I am in no way perfect, but I am very happy to be receiving the chance to be an Acting Assistant Manager at Stockvale. Thank you all for making working here such an enjoyable experience.

Many thanks,

Hello all! I'm Tommy from Rides Overs West. I originally started my journey at Stockvale all the way back in 2015 as a Ride Host on the ever-wonderful Ramba Zamba on West Overs before the split into A and B under the leadership of Jake Lewis and Arron Matthewman.

Over my numerous years working at Stockvale I have worked across both the Rides department and Security, where I came top of the department in 2016! Having worked here for many years I have countless fond memories and stories to tell. I've met some of the best people here and have made friends of life too. It is no exaggeration when we refer to one another as a family.

Along my journey to become an Acting Team Leader I have been driven, inspired and pushed by many a people, from my first two team leaders in Jake L and Arron who have taught me a great deal. Upon my return last summer, I was told straight away I had the capabilities to be one of the top hosts at the company by Mr Jack Stockwell who showed me nothing but support, drive and inspired me into finishing 4th in the summer league.

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to all my managers and performance leaders who have helped me throughout as well as all my now fellow TLs who have backed me and helped me immensely. And lastly a huge shout out to my fellow Westies who have been fantastic, now let's get us on that stage again! Here's to the start of an exciting new chapter and thank you for reading!

Much love - Tommy T

February 2011 I applied for what I thought was going to be a summer job to get me through college. I became a Ride Host at the young age of 17 and had a great season learning all the rides; I enjoyed it so much that I kept coming back.

After two seasons of Ride Host under my belt my third season came around and I became Rides Acting Team leader, after a few months I became Rides Team Leader and had my own team to work with. Fast forward another two seasons and with a lot more experience I had left the rides behind and became a Performance Leader, I went on to learn a few other departments and in turn how to score them. Being a Performance Leader was my path for around 2 ½ years and we are now in mid-2017 which is when I became the Acting Supervisor of the Treasury department, this was when I started learning a whole other side to Stockvale and a new set of skills.

After a few months’ work and getting to grips with the job it was now the end of 2017 and I became Treasury Supervisor. I have spent the past year as Treasury Supervisor and am very excited to start 2019 as the Treasury Acting Assistant Manager, all the different roles I have done have played a big part in helping me get to where I am now and just a quick thank you to Marc Miller, James Miller and even Jake Redfearn for the guidance and support over the past year and I can’t forget my little treasury team for being such a pleasure to work with.

The past 10 years working for Stockvale has taught me a lot and it has also gone by so quick (they do say time flies when you’re having fun!)

I joined when I was 17 years old and started my journey as a ride host, I have since been part of the rides leadership team, the performance leader team and my current Treasury team.

Each role has taught me something different and played a big part of my journey and the team members along the way have been fantastic to work with and to lead. From my first ever team of east unders, you were all amazing, to my current team, you are also amazing and so hard working.

Working at Stockvale has been a big part of my life, I have met my wonderful partner Jake and best friend Elysia who have both supported and guided me along the way. I have made other lifelong friends and have years’ worth of memories.

When I started in 2011 I was only planning to stay a summer or 2 so I didn’t think that 10 years later I would be getting promoted to the full manager of the Treasury team.

I wasn’t keen on joining this department when it was first offered to me as it was something so different to what I was used to but I am so glad that I took that step and gave it ago, if I had any advice it would be don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone, you never know where it might take you.

I first joined the company in May 2017 as a ride host for the West overs A during my gap year. Whilst waiting to follow my dreams I fell in love with my job and everyone I worked with. After working my way to the top of my department with the help of my incredible leaders I became an acting Team Leader myself, and headed over to the photos team for the best part of a summer.

Over the past year and a bit I’ve been lucky enough to lead and work with so many great departments; photos, rangers, west overs A and b, west unders and adventure inside. I’ve enjoyed every single minute of my journey and have met so many incredible people along the way from the hosts all the way up to the management team, and can honestly say I’ve been changed for the better for having been here.

I’d like to say thank you to everyone single person who has helped me along the way. If I mentioned every name we’d be here forever because I simply have so many great things to say about all of you. However, a special mention has to go to: my first leaders Ciaran and Felix for shaping me into the best host I could be, Hollie for always providing that healthy competition, Kayla and Jamie for the incredible training and for welcoming me into their teams and to the incredible management team for believing in me and mentoring me every step of the way. I cannot wait to see what the future holds as a full team leader!

I would like to begin by saying that I am over the moon with being given the position of Manager. I said it last time but it really is crazy for me to think that 8 years ago I was awaiting my interview for my first ever job, and now I’m progressing in a job I can honestly say I love waking up to. Year on year there has been new challenges, new memories to be made. Not only have I made lifelong friends, I have also met my life companion!

The transition isn’t always easy from leading hosts, to then leading leaders and supervisor but I have an incredible team that made it that much easier for me, year after year. You are all truly incredible and honestly it is such a pleasure getting to know you all and working so closely with you. I also wanted to say thank you too Jake Lewis- leading with you is both a pleasure and as always keeps me on my toes! I would also like to say thank you too Jake Redfearn, thank you for not only your honesty, friendship and support throughout the years but for having a great partner to lead such an incredible team with. Finally, thank you too James Miller for the guidance throughout my journey with Stockvale, which without, I feel would have prolonged my journey.

It is true to say that hard work really does pay off, and I hope to continue inspiring others to reach their goal, and aspiring to be their best.

Well hello hello hello everyone.

My journey started all the way back in 2018 when I was thrown into the wonderful department of Rides East Unders. I waltzed in on my first day, was trained on the incredible Jumpin’ Jolly Rogers and my life completed changed. I instantly fell in love with being a ride host and with the incredible team that came along with it. Not long after I grew a bit older and found myself in the Rides East Overs department, which allowed me to finish off my training for all the rides on the East Side.

Most recently I did get the opportunity to broaden my horizons in the customer services team, with the lovely Larissa and Jacob. Thank you for helping me settle in, and welcoming me so warmly! You guys definitely made walking into a strange new environment so much easier.

It wouldn’t seem right talking about my journey without a special shout-out to the lights of my life, Matthew Mundy and Miss Isabelle Williams. You guys have helped me more than you could imagine during my 3 years at the Stockvale company! You guys make the rainy days seem the brightest, and it has been the biggest privilege to grow with you guys. So thank you both for being my reason to keep going, my rocks, and helping me stay positive.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Ellis Turffery for being the absolutely incredible human being that he is, leading me all these years. You have been a true inspiration for not only me but the entire east family! As well as the beautiful Georgia Poulton for pushing me to be the best Unders host I could be all those years ago. Without that guidance who knows if I would still be in the position I am now.

I guess that’s everything from me, I cannot wait to see what this new journey holds!

Just remember East is beast

A long long time ago....7 and a half years to be precise I started my journey with Stockvale. I had recently moved cities and got the chance to work in Feelgoods, back of house, for the Christmas period. Skipping a bit forward turns out I was pretty good at it and enjoyed it way more than I ever thought I would. Something that was meant to be a temporary to get me by while I settle I'm the new city turned into a big part of my life.

By May I got promoted to team leader in the kitchen, which gave me more motivation and I realised I can achieve much more. With the support of great leaders and a fantastic team in the same year I went on to winning my 1st award as leaders leader. And from then with a lot of hard work, while still in Feelgoods I became supervisor and learnt all aspects of Feelgoods, including front of house, which helped to get to assistant manager and then acting manager and eventually went on to winning hosts manager award at Star Awards.

2 years ago I got offered a chance to move to Sands as the manager at the time was leaving. As sad as I was to be leaving the Feelgoods family and my work husband Lee, I couldn't say no to the opportunity of being able to learn more, take on a challenge and grow....and well something worked as I won another 2 awards as Manager's Leader and Most open to change in the 1st year there. Not only have I worked with the two restaurants I have bounced around a bit learning other catering outlets, how they run and other aspects of the catering department, spending most of our pandemic time in the Britannia this year.

I'll be very honest it's not always been the easiest road, but I do love what I do, I love the people I work with and the family I have gained, the opportunities. As a full manager now I can't wait to grow and learn even more and help my team grow to be the best that we can.

Obviously a massive thank you to James Gibbs and Courtney Bushell for being supportive and always giving me opportunities.

Well, where do I start!

I've been a part of the Adventure Island family since 2015 ( I can hear a certain some one calling me a boomer now😂), going straight into Cashiers with the wonderful Margaret as my leader. I instantly fell in love with it and made some friends I'll cherish forever!

I decided I wanted to join the leadership team in 2016, I was so determined! As most of you know it took me a few, well 10 attempts to become an acting leader. But I understood every time I had more learning to do, picked myself up and tried even harder. Well a year later I finally did it!

I became a full team leader in 2018 and got my own team! The west cashiers! The cashiers is honestly like my second home but I love it! All of the guys I've seen come and go over the years have motivated me so much to become a better leader. Wouldn't be here without all of you!

I'm now very excited and thankful to be stepping into a new role, acting supervisor! I am incredibly eager to learn some new things!

I would like to personally thank a few people so bear with 😂

Lucy, Holly, George, Noah, Lee, Shannon, Lottie, Josh, Joe, Hollie and Nathan - you guys have helped me so much over the years and have truly inspired me! Don't know where I'd be without you!

Jacob, you have no idea how much you inspired me when you ran Cashiers. Your coaching is one of the many reasons I was so determined to become a leader.

Melissa and Elysia, your support, help and coaching has been phenomenal! You two have no idea how much you inspire me! Thank you for everything! I cannot wait to see what you teach me next!

Jake L, Jake R and James, thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to achieve. You have all helped me through some tough, busy days and I am so thankful for the coaching and feedback you give.

I'd also like to thank my team. Every single West cashier has inspired me and helped me get to where I am today! From welcoming you into the family to seeing you blossom into confident, funny, wonderful people! You all have helped me learn, grow and get to where I am today. I love you all and I can't thank you enough!

I cannot wait to see where this new role takes me!

I started studying for my degree in Social Science in 2018 but have remained with the company during this time, working school and bank holidays! I have gained so many valuable skills during my time working for Stockvale and what only started as a weekend job, has become a huge part of my life. Hi Everyone!

Firstly I just want to say how grateful I am at being promoted to Acting Performance Leader. It’s a role I’ve always wanted to do whilst working at the Stockvale Group and very excited to get started!

My journey with the company began in 2014 when I returned home from university for the summer. I applied thinking it would be just a summer job, and how wrong I was. I fell in love with the work and the people who really feel like a family! I started as a Ride Host on East Overs, and under the leadership of Elysia, Andrew, Arron, Zoe and Charlotte, I quickly dominated the Stars Leagues, and won the Autumn Season of that year.

At the opening of the next season in 2015 I was promoted into the role of Acting Rides Team Leader on the East, learning East Unders, before very quickly being made a full Team Leader of East Overs. When Adventure Inside opened I was trained on all the Inside Rides, and continued to work throughout the year including Adventure Wonderland and working Inside during the weekdays on my days off from University.

In 2016, I learnt all the West Unders Rides and moved over to the West to become the Unders Team Leader which included Hollie and Lottie! In the summer of 2016 I trained alongside Arron to become the Park Rangers Leader before my departure from Stockvale in August 2016 to become a Freelance Stage Manager on Musicals and Plays.

With the COVID-19 pandemic currently closing theatres, I contacted James in July about returning to the Stockvale Group and without hesitation was offered a position as a Ride Host on West Overs A. Interesting fact, my first day back to Adventure Island this year was the exact same day I started in 2014! 20th July! I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am at the opportunity of returning to such a wonderful company and joining such a wonderful team! West As I adore you all.

I am thrilled to be joining Melissa, Kennedy, Ciaran, Lizzie, Connor, Emily and Lee in the Performance Leaders department and cannot wait to see everyone making our guests the happiest they have ever been, in the safest possible environment to ensure their regular return and recommendation to others!

Now go out there and HAVE FUN!

I have been with Stockvale for a huge 12 years making me the longest serving Feelgoods member. Aside from this I have been on quite the journey and really do know everything about all things Stockvale. When i was just 16, I began working at our Sealife Adventure as a Catering host. I was a quick learner and soon was promoted to Supervisor this was down to my hard work and enthusiasm. When Feelgoods was built in 2011/12, I jumped at the chance to be Front of House Supervisor! I’ve never looked back. Over the years i learnt every aspect of Feelgoods... except the singing...I leave that to the professionals! Through embracing the Stockvale Culture, Vision, Mission and my dedication to the company I been promoted to Assistant Manager, Acting Manager and now progressed to a full Catering Manager. Not only have I enjoyed my time in Feelgoods, I have recently spent time assisting the other Adventure Island Catering outlets as well, this has been fun working along side different people and enjoying new challenges!

My Stockvale journey doesn’t just stop there through Stars Awards I have received multiple awards for Best Leaders Manager, Best Host Manager, The new Idea generator and crowned the Catering King. I’ve also been nominated for other various categories as well through this I feel I am a hugely valued member of our team and continue to inspire and motivate others to be the best they can be. For me my proudest moment is when I see hosts I’ve helped nurture become some of the best Leaders across Catering!

A special thanks goes out to Courtney, James, Lucy and Marc all playing a massive part mentoring me through the years which has helped get me to where I am today!

Hi, my name’s Abby, and I’ve recently been promoted to Acting Team Leader.

My journey at Sealife Adventure started in September 2020, when I was 17, and after working here for only several months I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to be promoted. Whilst working with the lovely retail team at Sealife, I have developed my confidence in myself, as well as developing my friendship with my incredible team. I love to see people progress in what they do, and this promotion will give me the best opportunity to work hard with my team, and hopefully allow us to come 1st at the next Stars Awards!! Everyone is super hard-working and I’m very excited to help their journeys through Stockvale be the best they can be. I can’t wait to see what the future holds as Acting Team Leader!

I first started my journey at Adventure Island when I finished school in 2020. I was excited to start the next chapter and that was to go out to work, make lots of new friends and to gain experience. I was first put into the Rides West Unders department and instantly I fell in love of being a rides host.

During my first season I adapted and become a consistent 90s and 100s scoring host in which I also was chosen to cross train on another department throughout this time. After my first season of working I placed in the top 10 with an average of 98+%. On the back of this my leaders Bobby and Emily really pushed me to work harder and allowed me to work at the best of my ability, allowing me to place 3rd in the next following season.

Since these achievements I’ve always pushed myself to work harder and to go out of my way approaching other leaders for help so that they can give me advice and a better understanding/ feel of what a team leader is.

I would just like to say how grateful I am for everyone and every leader who has helped along my journey and have supported me and pushed me every step of the way, as I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support I’ve had. I also want to thank Bobby and Emily for being incredible leaders teaching and coaching me because I wouldn’t have been able to be the host I am today without them.

I started as a Ride host on the West and when I was promoted to acting leader I began learning a new role: The cashiers. I’m now the full time leader of the East cashiers, and I honestly hand on my heart can say they are the craziest, loudest, weirdest bunch of humans.. that’s all.

I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the people I met. So shout out to Hollie Hunter who’s been there for me since our Wunder days, shout out to Jake Lewis who forced my out of that box I trapped myself in.. he’s the one to blame! And shout out to Elysia Clack who has helped me grow and strengthen each and every day.

Let’s also not forget.. the biggest shout out to the one who created this masterpiece of a human.. the person that everyone loves and should know and if you don’t, then you’re missing out... Maria.

My journey at Adventure Island started back in 2020 when I was put onto the photos department.

First day I started nervous as this was a new environment I was not very familiar with, but quickly I found my place and really fell in love with the job. Through work I have felt my confidence and social skills sky rocket, which has really helped me inside and outside of work as I feel more and more independent each day.

Not long after working at Adventure Island I was already broadening my skills here with learning other departments such as ambassadors and even some of the rides on the inside department, which really threw me out of my comfort zone but definitely helped my customer service as I could adapt to situations better to ensure I was enhancing every customers experience.

The team leaders around the park have all helped me whether they have led me themselves or just been supportive in my journey and thanks to them I feel very motivated to achieve the best I possibly can. I want to give a massive thank you to Lauren, Isabelle and Millie for really pushing me to put myself out there and to set my ambitions high, because of them I truly believe I can achieve anything that I put my mind to.

I also want to mention the other half of the dream team, Felix, who always makes shifts so much easier and the most enjoyable they can be, honestly always look forward to being on a unit with him.

I can’t forget to mention the incredible photos team that have really inspired me over this last year with their own journey and transformation, I really feel like they teach me something new each day and I cannot wait to lead them soon and hopefully inspire them as much as they inspire me.

So, my journey started back in 2019 where i was placed with the amazing entertainment team. I remember my first day, walking over with the wonderful Lee to the entertainment office and being thrown straight into helping out with a party time.

The sudden change in pace of everything forced me out of my comfort zone shift after shift and Lee made sure that I never returned to being that shy 16 year old host.

Not long after I had the opportunity to broaden out into rides, becoming a member of the Rides inside team and throughout my time on Inside had many incredible leaders to look up to, with the likes of Connor, Nathan and Brennan who continued to push me above and beyond my limits while also welcoming me to their team like I was one of their own. Thank you for pushing me to my limits and allowing me to be the best host I could possibly have been.

And what would talking about my journey be if I didn’t mention Clara and Maya who were both my biggest competition but also the people who made me the dark days brighter and every shift seem more than just a job. I appreciate you both more than you know.

As for both the Ents and Inside team, thank you for the crazy memories and shifts we’ve had together, I simply cannot wait to see what this next step holds 🙂

Hi, I’m Tyler and I have recently been promoted to Acting Team Leader.

I am coming up to my 1 year Adventure-versary, working at Adventure Island, this July. Despite having only been part of the team for a year , I have been connected with the adventure family for 18 years of my life, coming down at least once a year and so I have watched by as Adventure Island and I grew and changed. Ever since I was young, I knew that I wanted to work at Adventure Island as my first job and upon achieving this, I already felt so aligned with the company vision and mission.

Being an entertainer at heart, I wanted nothing more than to provide the best experience possible to as many people as I could and truly try to make their day, and I have been attempting to do this in various ways since I started.

Firstly, I would like to thank my first Team Leader Lottie as well as my trainer: TL Joe. You both started me off in the right direction, set a high bar of expectations for me and supported me from the very start; if it wasn’t for you both I would not be where I am now. I would also like to thank TL Shannon who I have spent the most time with recently. You have been a great help for me to continue striving to find new ways to entertain customers and go beyond what I was already capable of, and also helping me to be prepared for leadership and believe in myself that I could do it. TL Josh, the same goes for you. I spent a great deal of time with you as my leader - before the most recent lockdown especially. It was really refreshing and eye-opening to see a host transition to a leader for the first time and you were the first sign to me that I could potentially be capable of the same, and that pushed me to be more determined to achieve that goal.

Second to last, I would love to give a massive credit to the family that has been formed consisting of the East, West and Inside cashiers all together. Thanks to this dynamic, everyone collectively has kept me going through thick and thin and played a role into my improvement as a host and as a person. And our competitive natures just made me want to do even better. The familial bond we have made allows for a truly authentic and fun experience for us and customers alike - which is what made me fall in love with the job in the first place. Honestly Thank You. You guys mean the world to me and I can’t wait to lead you. You’re such an amazing team.

Of course there are many more people that I would like to thank for just being there, and helping me to believe in myself and develop real confidence, but I would like to give specific gratitude to the managers - especially James, Melissa and Elysia. Ever since my first day, you all made me feel so welcome and i felt so lucky to be part of what was more than just a work place, and was a family. Since day 1 you all supported me and inspired me to keep striving to do better each time I saw you. I am so grateful for the opportunity you have all given me. I can’t wait to show you that you have made the right decision. And I can’t wait to start my leadership journey with the all of the amazing cashiers.

I started working at Adventure Island at the age of 17, just as a part time role whilst at 6th form. My first role was making hot dogs and slush puppies at the mobile karts by Rage.

Following my first season I wanted to progress into a leadership role and worked closely with an amazing group or team leaders and senior managers to progress further as I always wanted to lead a team. After a season of being a team leader and working hard to improve I got promoted to Catering Supervisor at the Three Shells.

Shortly after it clicked that I wanted to stay within the company as there were great opportunities for progression and further learning. After another year I was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Three Shells.

Sadly two years ago I suffered a freak accident involving my hand playing football and even with the amazing support of the catering team and senior management, my physical and mental health deteriorated. I then left the company to pursue different avenues that were easier to manage since this accident.

After two years I had worked on myself to learn how to deal with the challenges my injury faced me and came back to Adventure Island as a Catering team leader.

Since coming back I've been working hard again to improve and to progress again and I have recently been promoted up to acting Assistant Manager. I would just like to thank my amazing team and catering managers for all the support they have provided me since coming back and I'm now looking forward to a long and bright career within the Stockvale Group.

It's genuinely a joy to be working in the company again, I have never worked for a company who genuinely cares about the well being and support of their staff and the inclusively the company provides.

Kind regards,

I won't give you all the life story as I’m pretty sure most of you have heard it by now (started shy, got good, won the league as well as many other awards, got promoted, wasn’t that good for the first year and then…. )

This is where we start, my first year as the full Team leader of the West Under’s which consisted of a clean sweep of the stars league with the team winning each PL League from each season. This year made me as a leader and was where I learnt so much that I now apply to my leadership!

I honestly am so grateful for being offered this next step as well as being offered such an opportunity to progress within the company so thank you all!

I’d like to thank the management team , for helping me so so much along the way, whether it is perfecting the light house re slip or just improving my time management, you guys have always been there for me so thank you all!

I would like to thank the current leadership team and everyone around me! You guys all inspire me so much and allow me to have that drive to better myself and improve my leadership in any way shape or possible so thank you guys! You are all fantastic!

But my biggest thank you has to go to my current team and my team of last year! Without you guys I would have never been offered this opportunity! I honestly cannot thank you all enough for how hard you work and how much you give to the team and your jobs! Your work ethic is unmatched guys and I genuinely couldn’t have a better team to lead and help propel myself forward so thank you guys! And it makes me so proud that all your hard work has not gone unnoticed with some of you now stiving to be leaders or even being one now yourself! I love you all!

I honestly cannot thank everyone enough for your support and offering me this new step within my path and I hope I don’t let you down!

Thank you all

I first started working at adventure island in 2020 a month after I Turnt 16. I remember the day of my interview they told me that I will be working in “the eatery” i remember thinking “oh god I’ve been put in catering.” However for this year of being in the food bar it’s been such a fun Journey. I have met some of the best people that I could possibly ever meet. At the start of summer 2021 my team leaders and mangers kept taking to me about applying to become a team-leader, I never thought I was ready at first but then I just took my chance and applied. It took a few weeks before I got my interview but In that time I was trying to smash out my scores with 90+ leading me to an average score of 91%.

I would like to thank James Gibbs, Courtney Bushall, Damian Parzelski, Eden Yexley and many more for helping me achieve this new role.

Hello All, I started my new role with Stockvale as displays supervisor earlier this year. The team at Sealife have been incredibly supportive and welcoming. Everyone is extremely passionate about the animals, their welfare and the exhibits. Prior to working with Stockvale I worked at Sealife London and the National Marine Aquarium. Before that I had completed my MSc in animal behaviour where I studied Giraffe grouping behaviour in South Africa.

More recently I have been offered the position of Acting Living collections Manager with Stockvale. I am extremely excited about this opportunity not only manage an incredible team of keepers but also be directly responsible for all the lovely animals we have on site. I would like to thank my whole team for continued support and for working so incredibly hard to maintain such an incredible site. I can’t wait to see what the future holds continuing this journey with Stockvale.

Hi all

These blurbs don’t come naturally to me so I’m going to keep it short and sweet.

I’ve been at Sealife for a little over 3 years and was brought in originally to work with the expanding mammal collection on site. Previously I’ve studied at 2 uni’s, worked at a number or animal collections, most recently tropical wings, as well as having a handful of other odd jobs.

I’m always up for learning new skills and have very much enjoyed applying my zoo knowledge in an aquarium setting as well as gaining experience in a whole new field. My aim is to approach this new role with the same intent and attitude with which I approach all new challenges. With a little help from the Sealife team and my awesome peers in the displays team I’ll rise to this task.

Hey! I’m Beth 😁

I recently received my promotion to Full Team Leader. I began my Stockvale journey back in summer 2019 after i finished my GCSE’s and was hired as a catering host in The Green. As it came around to Christmas time i was offered an opportunity to extend my contract working in Feelgoods. I was greeted by such a kind group of hosts and leaders who made me feel welcomed from day 1. After a few months working as a waitress in Feelgoods i was encouraged by my manager Lee to apply for the TL position. I never really thought too much about applying previously, but after all the encouragement and my consistent scoring of 90’s+ i was determined to at least give it a try. And good thing i did !

In September of 2020 i was promoted to an Acting Leader and have been acquiring so much more knowledge and skills about the company and being a leader ever since. Since being an acting leader, I’ve had opportunities to work in and lead other catering outlets within the park such as The Green, Hot Dog Bar and Milkshake Bar. In September 2021 i was promoted to a full team leader,, but i don’t think i would have achieved this without the support of my peers and fellow leaders. Massive shout out to Lee Jones, Dan Pinder, Louise Gale for being such supportive leaders from the start.

Thank you!

Hello all!

So going to keep this nice and short, as I have done a couple of these over my 5 years at Adventure Island.

I recently got promoted to Acting Supervisor at the beginning of summer, and I want to thank the company and all of the amazing people that helped me get to where I am today. Just to mention some of these people; Jake Redfearn, Elysia Clack, Jake Lewis, Ellis Turffrey and trust me there’s a lot more but the list will be a little too long.

Unfortunately haven’t been able to lead my team much this year due to injuries sustained. But I wanted to do a little mention to my Adventure Inside team who were all such fantastic workers through 2020 and the small time in 2021, and them pushing me to be a better leader and always learning from my mistakes.

I can’t wait to see what else I learn from being a Supervisor and see where the future takes me, and I hope to keep proving myself to everyone why I deserve this role. Thank you.

Big Love,

I started my adventure in Feelgoods during March 2018 and now after three fun filled years, I have had the honour of being promoted to an Acting Supervisor. During my first year I was taught by some of Feelgoods finest, and they gave me the necessary skills to win the Back Of House Winters League, then swiftly get my first promotion.

During my time as a leader I loved the responsibility of leadership and running a kitchen. This paired with being a Senior Prefect in Sixth Form prepared me for leaving school and helped me to gain independence.

I have been working full time at Feelgoods since Christmas 2019 and loved every minute of it. I have made so many friends for life, and I will never forget the memories we have had together. Even during the long summer hours, the people and environment have made the time spent so fun and fulfilling.

Now with my recent promotion to Supervisor, I have picked up even more responsibility and have had the pleasure of training many different teams along the way. I look forward to what the future has in store.

After joining adventure island in 2016 I never thought I’d be where I am today. Even after leaving a couple of times, I’ve always found myself coming back to what I think of my second home. Through all the challenges and ups and downs of the past couple of years, I couldn’t be more grateful for every single opportunity I’ve been given too progress and become a better person and leader and now acting supervisor.

A big shout out too both Courtney and Cozza who have given me the confidence to be a good leader. A big shout out too all the leaders, supervisors and managers in the catering team who are basically like a massive family that undoubtedly are always there for each other through everything.

And lastly, a shout out too all the staff who I’ve worked with, without them I wouldn’t be able to be the person and leader I am today. Without the staff I work with, I wouldn’t be who I am today. So a big thank you too those of them that inspire me and motivate me every single day.

I started in sands in 2017 and I must say these past few years have been great!.

My first day I was excited yet nervous at the same time but was happy to start a new adventure! After working there for roughly a year and a half and going from sands bistro to sands by the sea I got promoted to team leader. I was happy and surprised but also thankful for the opportunity to prove myself. After a couple more years I am a supervisor and still loving every second of my job! And can’t wait to see what happens in the future.

I’d like to give a massive thanks to James and Courtney for pushing me and being there every step of my journey and always supporting me! I’d also like to thank the sands team for making my time here absolutely brilliant as it’s made me into the person I am today!

I started working at Adventure Island in 2018. I had just completed my GCSEs and was initially looking for a job to just keep me busy over the summer. So, I was absolutely thrilled when I discovered that I had been offered the opportunity of being a singing waitress in Feelgoods. However I ended up falling in love with the job, and three years later I can still be found in Feelgoods.

In September 2020 I was promoted to an Acting Team Leader, and in September 2021 I was promoted to full Team Leader.

This promotion meant the absolute world to me as I get the joy of helping singers practise songs to perform in the restaurant, and it is so rewarding to see the progress that people are making as they exceed their own expectations. Being a Team Leader has also offered me so many opportunities, such as working in a kitchen and occasionally being in charge of running the Milkshake Bar.

Working for Adventure Island has also allowed me to make friends for life and has provided memories that will stay with me forever, such as singing at the Cliffs Pavillion.

The flexibility of the job is also perfect as currently I am able to complete my degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice in Swansea, and come back and work as a Leader during the holidays.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and pushed me to apply for a leadership position. I would also like to give a special thank you to the Feelgoods Team who not only make my job so much fun, but are some of the best people I have ever met!

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Hi, my name is Brandon. I started at Adventure Island on the 14th march 2018 when I was 18 years old. I started on the rides as an east over and learnt my first ride which was Archelon. When I started I was a very shy individual who did not have any purpose or goal to look up to however as I worked there longer my outlook changed and I made loads of new friends who in a way become like family to me and I cared about them all.

After working there I thought I would try and apply for the position of team leader to see if I could do the job and prove myself.

After about a year and a few rejections for the position of team leader i had all but given up and lost all interest but thanks to all my leaders like Coral, Isabelle, Tom, Ellis, Sophie, Alex and Brennan they persuaded me to not give up and even if i get rejected i need to pick myself up dust myself off and try again and their advice did not go to waste on the fateful day of 23rd October 2021 after 9 attempts and 3 and a half years of ride host experience i finally achieved my goal and got told that i have been promoted to acting team leader.

I'd like to thank the managers as well for coaching me and advising me on how to achieve my goal.

I started working at Adventure Island in 2017. I was in college and my college friend was all ready working at adventure island and told me how amazing it is and how much i would love it there, so I applied. I was learning rides in Adventure Inside and was learning different techniques of the job but I kept feeling something was missing so I left, after a spell away I found myself back and more energetic and bubbly as ever, I had a new team that soon became my family.

West b was now my new home, I've had so many great memories one of them has to be winning top department in the overall league and being on the stage of stars and breaking the pattern of feelgood. In 2020 I was thinking of going for team leader and my work colleague encouraged me to go for and saying how I would make a great leader one day, I've had so much help for my team and my team leader to push me to become the person I am today, I didnt think I could do but with lots of 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring in October 2021 I've made it to acting team leader.

Hi everyone, I’m Emily!

I’ve worked at Stockvale since 2017. It’s hard to think I started as a ride host on the drop and smile and have made it to where I am now. I’m extremely excited to have been promoted to Acting Assistant Manager.

I’d like to also thank everyone that I have worked with over the last 4 and a bit years whether it was as a host, a team leader or a performance leader. Well, this is nice. After being on a long journey in this company I'm glad to be trusted with such a position. I've been working for Stockvale for over 5 years now and I've had many ups and downs but wouldn't change the journey for anything. In my time I've gone through a lot such as collapsing dressed as a frog, being voted the King of Stockvale and even losing my Mecca Bingo Card. Through all of this I've received continuous support from many people that won't ever be forgotten. People like Jake R and Elysia push me every shift and despite my stubbornness occasionally getting in the way, they didn't give up on trying to improve me as a leader and as a person, which I believe has been fulfilled.

I mainly want to thank all my hosts I've ever led because they really are my inspiration every day I come in to work. From Adventure Inside to Ranger, West Unders to West A. But of course, my main thanks go to the wonderful West Bs that I have the pleasure of being with constantly. Overall, I try my best to be a positive light to my fellow leaders, the hosts and the customers.

Hopefully I can keep that going for a long time and I hope I'll be writing another one of these soon.

Many Thanks Brennan

I started my journey at Adventure Island in 2018 as a rides host on West Overs A, this was meant to be a summer job while I continued my studies at sixth form. After completing sixth for and moving on to university I fell in love with my job and everyone I worked with. This encouraged me to come back every weekend and school holidays.

I have been very fortunate to train on so many amazing departments! Each of them has helped me to learn new skills. I have loved every second of learning so many new things from some truly inspiring people. It has given me so many responsibilities within the company and has made me found the love to help any department which I may lead.

Though I have been lucky enough to have my own team of Photos and Golf, the team have helped me by inspiring me to want to do better.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am. The company has helped me in so many ways and the progression which I have made; I could not have done it without the amazing management team, leadership team and all the rides teams which have helped me every step of the way. I cannot wait to see what my future holds in the company as an acting supervisor.

I’ve worked at Stockvale since August 2019, 2 years ago I started working in the milkshake bar apart of the Feelgoods team. When I started this job role, working alongside my team leaders, I knew this was a role I would’ve liked to achieve in the future. After gaining experience of working in the milkshake bar and in the restaurant, for almost a year I decided it was time to put myself forward and apply for the role of Acting Team Leader. With the help from my Feelgoods leaders, I was given the opportunity and was promoted to Acting Team Leader, in September 2020. When I was promoted, I had many opportunities and was trained around the park in many different catering outlets, learning how they ran and how to run my own team.

For the majority of summer 2021, I had then been given the responsibility to run and motivate my own team, The Green. Working with many different people and helping to motivate them to be the best they possibly can be, is something I have enjoyed a lot in the last year. Moving onto September 2021, I was then promoted to a Full Team Leader, which I am extremely grateful for.

However, I couldn’t have done this without all the leaders I have worked alongside, James and Courtney and The Green, thank you to you all!
