By Car

We are easy to find. From the M25 just take either Junction 29 (A127) or Junction 30 (A13) eastwards towards Southend. As you approach Southend, look for the brown tourist road signs. Adventure Island is clearly marked on these. Follow signs to the Seafront. If water is sloshing around your feet, you’ve gone too far!

Plan your parking

After you’ve reached your destination, the next job is to find a place to park. Most car parks in the town are council run, and there is a small fee to leave your car for the day. The best part is most of the street parking and council run car parks are free after 6pm, 7 days a week!

Below is a map that shows the car park facilities located close to Adventure Island and Sealife Adventure. The blue circles indicate car parks, and the green lines indicate where street parking is available.

On busier days, car parks closest to Adventure Island and Southend Seafront will fill up first. We recommend arriving at Southend as early as you can in order to make the most of these. If you arrive later in the day, you may find that there are no spaces available closer to the seafront, however you can usually find spaces further away from the seafront in and around the town centre. These are only a few minutes walk away from the seafront. You will also find that typically, parking prices reduce as you get further away from the seafront.

For live parking availability, click here to go to Southend Borough Council’s website and see the live availability table.

If you have any issues regarding parking during your visit, you can call Southend Borough Council’s Parking department on 01702 215003

Southend Borough Council’s car parks offer the opportunity to pay for your parking electronically via the mobile app “MOBON“. We highly recommend downloading this app prior to your visit, allowing you to bypass any queues at ticket machines.
