Easy Online Booking
Our online booking system makes arranging your visit quick and simple. Choose your date, enter your student numbers (minimum 20) and your trip will be instantly confirmed once payment has been made.
If you have booked, and wish to add more students, you can do so by making another online booking.
However, if you are adding fewer than 20 students, this can be arranged on the day through our Customer Services Team, with payment taken on the day.
If you book, what next?
Every student receives a wristband giving them access to all rides (height restrictions apply). Students must wear their wristbands on the right wrist.
Wristbands are posted to your school ahead of your trip for a smooth arrival. However, if your booking is confirmed within 15 days of your intended school trip date, you will need to collect the wristbands from Customer Services on the morning of your visit.
Adventure Island is a free-entry park, so teachers don’t need wristbands to enter.
You’ll only need a wristband if you want to go on the rides yourself!
For teachers who wish to ride, please head to customer services on the day where you can collect your bands.
You can have up to:
Primary schools: 1 free teacher wristband for every 4 students.
Secondary schools: 1 free teacher wristband for every 8 students.
Please note: Amendments to school trip booking dates are permitted up to 16 days prior to the visit. After this deadline, the booking date is non-transferable.

The Need-to-Knows
Adventure Island opens at 11:00am. Closing times vary throughout the year.
Yes. Students with an active Annual Pass do not need to be included in your booking numbers. They must bring either their physical pass or a photo of the Annual Pass barcode to gain entry. Please ensure all passes are activated and in date so students can receive their wristband and go on the rides.
Leftover wristbands can be exchanged at Customer Services for a voucher valid until the end of the year. Please note: If this exchange is not completed on the day of your visit, any remaining wristbands will not be redeemable later.
- If you need to add 20 or more students, please repeat the online booking process and create a separate booking.
- If you need to add fewer than 20 students, please visit Customer Services on the day of your trip and they will assist you.
Customer Services is inside Adventure Island, next to the American Whip and Crooked House rides. If you need to visit upon arrival, the easiest entrance is the slope next to Sands by the Sea restaurant.
Coaches may drop off passengers directly outside Adventure Island (look for the Axis ride!). Coach parking is available in the Eastern Esplanade car park, approximately a 10-minute walk from the park.
Wristbands will grant you access to any of the rides in Adventure Island and Funtopia Indoor Amusement Park – as long as you reach each ride’s individual height requirements.

Absolutely! If you’re over 14 years of age (and mature enough to look after another person), you can accompany a child under 120cm in height on any of our rides for free. It’s part of our Go On Together promise.
Guests over 120cm in height will not be permitted to bring on an accompanying person free of charge. (Nice try!)
At the time of writing, Adventure Island has over 40 rides suitable for all ages and thrill levels. We also have a multi-storey soft-play area, which is suitable for children up to 10 years old and can be accessed using our standard wristband or the Playstack wristband.
Our site is packed full of amazing things to see and do, but unlike many other UK theme parks, it’s not huge – you can stroll from one end to the other in just a few minutes. Less walking equals more ride time!
We make every effort to ensure our guests don’t need to wait for hours to hop aboard the rides they enjoy. Our average queuing time, even during peak hours, is only 20 minutes.
If the weather takes a turn, we may need to close some of our rides and attractions temporarily. However, there are plenty of undercover rides and arcades to keep you entertained until things brighten up again. Our Funtopia Indoor Amusement Park is always open alongside Adventure Island, find out more here.
Adventure Island is easily accessible by train, bus, coach, car, and even by air! Click here for more information on how to reach us.
We do not have a designated car park for our guests, but there’s plenty of space in the council-led car parks nearby, not to mention lots of bays along the seafront and around the town centre.
At Adventure Island, we believe that everyone should be able to experience the highest level of happiness with us and so we have tried to accommodate to all of our visitors as much as possible.
